The start, part 2

It was already evening when Melody arrived at Emerald Beach and her new home. The small town was quiet and sleepy. Melody was planning to take a trip around the town to get to know it, but she didn't think she would arrive this late. She told the taxi driver to drive her straight to her new home.

Melody was so exited, her own house! The first thing she did was to inspect it. Sure, it could use some paint on the walls and new floors, but it wasn't urgent.

The second thing she did in her new house was to plant the seeds she brought. When she looked out the glass door she saw signs that someone who lived here before also enjoyed gardening, just like herself. Melody hurried outside and put her fingers in the soil. She loved it.

When she had planted all the seeds and taken a quick shower, she headed to bed. It was already pretty late and she was planning to take that trip around the town tomorrow. She figured that she could really use a cookbook if she didn't want to starve to death!

The next day Melody woke up to the sound of little birds singing in the trees. She lied in bed thinking about the challenge. 100 babies. What have she gotten herself into? Yes she love children and big families, but 100 babies, without getting in love with any of the fathers... How is she even supposed to find someone who wanna help her? Not by lying in bed! She got up and made some breakfast. Time to find some willing men!

After breakfast Melody walked to the bookstore to get that cookbook. She also found two really good gardening books, but they was way too expensive for her! She walked over to the park and sat down on a bench.

Is this where she's supposed to find these men? Well, there were none! Melody started to read a little in her new book, but soon decided to go see her big brother Robbie in Santa Hannah. It was only an hour away and she haven't seen him for a while. When she arrived and rang the bell, Robbies roommate Michel opened the door.

He told her that Robbie was working, but she could come on in and wait if she wanted to. He was looking at some show on TV and he wouldn't mind some company. Robbie and Michel became friends in the army and they are now best friends and have been roommates for some years now. Melody have met Michel many times before and he was a sweet, friendly guy.

When they sat there looking at TV with Michel reacting and laughing at everything, Melody couldn't help but stare. He was actually very handsome, and he knows her. He knows her family and how weird they can be at times. Maybe he wants to help Melody with her 100 baby challenge? Well, its now or never. Do or die. All or nothing. She blurted out the question and he looked at her with a facial expression screaming of chock. He asked her what his part of it all would be and if theres any obligation to the baby. She told him that if he wants to be a part of the baby's life he could be, and if he didn't she could make it on her own.

After a long conversation about the challenge and the baby, Michel finally agreed on helping Melody.
